Online or face-to-face, my greatest passion in life is helping people get from where they are to where they want to be.

My areas of tutoring expertise include college essay writing, academic and creative writing, algebra 1+2, geometry, SAT, ACT, GRE prep and high school and undergraduate statistics.

I infuse my sense of humor and positivity into nearly all aspects of my life, including my tutoring. A blue belt and certified Gracie Jiu-Jitsu instructor, I have truly come to appreciate the benefits of learning from, rather than fearing, my mistakes. This philosophy extends to my tutoring methods as well. Mistakes mean you're learning!

College essay review

For my son’s college essay, Kenneth did in one hour what I’ve been paying others to unsuccessfully do in 10. He was quick and efficient but more importantly he provided quality edits. Wish I’d found him sooner!

Insightful and knowledgeable ninja

Ken is an excellent tutor! He taught me many concepts beyond the scope of a writing tutorial; however, the most important principle I learned was to have confidence in myself and skills. That trumps learning about the Peter principle!

Great Tutor!

Thank you for the knowledgable review of PSAT topics. Kenneth was prompt, thorough, flexible, and engaging. My son is looking forward to more sessions with Kenneth.

Thank you

I had Kenneth for SAT essay and reading. For essay, he helped me focus my writing so that it was tailored to the style of college board and their grading requirements. However, I was still able to remain comfortable with my writing style and maintain confidence in my work. Moreover, he was interesting, friendly, and encouraging; conversing with him felt natural and we were able to get a lot done.

Excellent!

Within the matter of one lesson, I've learned strategies to tackle the SAT with confidence. Ken breaks down information and explains concepts very well. His calm demeanor provides the perfect environment for learning. Would definitely recommend!

More than a regular tutor

Kenneth is not just a tutor, whose goal is simply solve your problems with academic theory. He is acumen, patient, incredibly smart... He is always worried about your feelings, and how can you overcome them, which, for me, was the most important part - realizing that my tendency to be perfect all the time wasn’t helpful. I’m very grateful.

great tutor

Kenneth helped me with my graduate essay. He was amazingly helpful and knowledgeable in this area. He also helped to focus my train of thought and weed through the multitude of text in which I provided him.

Most effective and helpful tutor

I am so happy that I found Ken on Wyzant!! He is humorous, knowledgeable and patient. The most impressive thing is that during one hour tutoring session he opens up my thinking and made everything so clear to follow and understand. I just wish that we found him earlier!!
