Playing guitar has been my passion ever since I started, when I was 10 years old. Since then I have used my talents to further my interest in music. I have over 8 years of extensive music experience, playing in multiple amateur bands in front of wide audiences in a variety of venues.
I myself was first taught guitar with basic private lessons, so i understand first hand the difficulties and challenges of being taught an instrument. That is why patience, understanding, motivation and the ability to give confidence are truly the most important skills necessary to be an effective guitar instructor.
For me teaching guitar is a very enjoyable and rewarding experience. Not only am I doing something I love, but I'm also using my skill and knowledge to give something in return, that I have been through, which is a great feeling.
As the instructor it will be my job to teach proper playing technique and personal practicing habits as well as providing guidance to correct mistakes and errors. With my excellent communication skills, i will be able to explain/show exactly how to play correctly and help the student improve by learning from mistakes, giving motivation and self confidence. It is my goal to ensure that the student can retain and apply these learned skills so that they may practice on their own time.
The student can expect at detailed lesson plan based off of my personal preference and experience. I have my own curriculum and methods off teaching according to how the student will learn best.
Now I know what your thinking... What makes me better qualified to be your guitar instructor versus the other guy? Well I may not have a bachelors degree in music theory from the University of Rock 'N Roll, but honestly lets be real, who needs one. What I do have is 8 years of practical, hands on music experience, ranging from playing in live bands, recording in professional grade studios and endless hours upon days of zealous practice. Most importantly I have the necessary skills to be an effective instructor.
