Experience working with Spanish-speaking and French-speaking patients in the United States, Europe, Africa and Central America. This allows me to fully comprehend the need for career-specific training for foreign healthcare workers who intend to practice in an English-speaking environment.
Educational background obtained from two Ivy League institutions.
Doctoral degree.
Experience teaching Medical English online.
Experience in Medical Writing.
Coursework in teaching English as a Second Language.
Although my focus is on healthcare providers (students, nurses, physicians, therapists, etc.), everyone is welcome to work with me. I will provide individual teaching using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) method. PBL is a creative, non-traditional way to master a foreign language. Instead of simple memorization without a context, I will guide you through real-life problems using written documents, listening exercises, conversations and questions. Tutoring sessions will be tailored toward your needs and goals and may include interview preparation, resume review and assistance with applications, if desired. Price depends on your needs.
