Hola! My name is April and I am an Assistant Spanish Professor at Goucher College teaching all levels of Spanish. I graduated in 2018 with my PhD in Spanish from Arizona State University with a GPA of 4.0. I taught there for 3 years (beginner to advanced) in person as well as online courses. Before ASU, I was a Spanish teacher for Northern York County High School for six years. I graduated from Shippensburg University in 2009 with a 3.83 GPA (BA in Spanish). I studied in Spain the summers of 2008-2010 consecutively, and this summer (2011) I began my masters in Spanish with St. Louis University (Madrid Campus). I finished my MA in Spanish and graduated with honors with a 3.87 GPA.
I have been tutoring since I received my undergrad in 2009, helping students in the local area (Central Dauphin School District and Susquehanna School District), but would love to expand my range into the whole Central Pennsylvania area.
I really am very passionate about Spanish, and would LOVE to help my students to form that same appreciation for the language (or to just get a better grade!) I am interested from hearing from all of you.
