She challenges and asks questions to ensure in depth understanding of the material. Marianne and my 10th grader who is taking AP Bio reviewed photosynthesis the other day and she was much more able and confident understanding the class presentation in school the next day. Marianne also has a great way of engaging and using humor which adds to the whole experience.
I graduated from ASU with a degree in microbiology. I love science and have the ability to convey it in terms a student can understand and retain by relating concepts to real-world applications. I have experience with all levels, from elementary school to college level. My students who attend Basis show particular benefit from additional tutoring. Great tutor for a hard to please kid
Marianne helped our 17 yr old with studying for his Honors Biology exam. She was engaging and kept the topic flowing so he never lost interest. When we left he said that he was surprised by how much more he understood the topic they discussed. When he took his test the next day he was shocked to find out that he scored a 80%. He thought his score was going to be much worse. Great job Marianne for just one session. We can't wait to meet with you again.
