I'm also completing a Master’s degree in Education from Arizona State University, with a concentration in Learning Design and Technology as well as Gifted Education. My academic background in mathematics, science, and pedagogy allows me to support students in Algebra I and II, Geometry, Statistics, AP Calculus AB, and IB Diploma Programme Mathematics at both Standard and Higher Levels.
Professionally, I have taught in traditional public high schools, an international bilingual IB school in Madrid, and one-to-one and small-group environments. I currently teach high school mathematics in Scottsdale and previously served as an IB DP Math teacher, where I developed and delivered instruction for both Applications and Interpretations and Analysis and Approaches courses. My approach is student-centered and structured around gradual release, modeling clear problem-solving strategies before guiding students through supported practice and ultimately toward independent mastery. I regularly differentiate instruction for diverse learners, including gifted students and English language learners, and I emphasize conceptual understanding alongside procedural fluency.
In addition to classroom teaching, I have experience mentoring students individually and creating original instructional materials as a content creator for Teachers Pay Teachers. I have worked with students ranging from early high school through advanced calculus, both in classroom settings and personalized environments. My goal as a tutor is to build confidence, close foundational gaps, and help students develop the analytical thinking skills necessary for long-term success in mathematics.
