I served in the Active Duty Air Force crom March 24, 2018 to August 1, 2022. I was an Air Transportation Specialist (2T271) and was able to travel the world while gaining valuable experience in leadership, air transportation, logistics, etc.
My educational background involves obtaining my Associate of Applied Science in Transportation from the Community College of the Air Force in 2022, and then obtaining my Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (Summa Cum Laude) from Arizona State University in 2025. My curriculum included classical Computer Science classes such as Data Structures and Algorithms, Object Oriented Programming, Compilers, Operating Systems, Theory of Computation, Mobile Computing, Software Security, Network Security, and more.
I have professional certifications in CompTIA Network+ and ISC2 Certified in Cybersecurity (CC).
My style of teaching is to ensure that students can understand complex topics in a simple manner. I like to use their experience and prior knowledge to their advantage by comparing new concepts to concepts they already understand.
I do not have any formal tutoring or teaching experience, but I do have a 14 year old stepdaughter that I have helped with homework assignments for the past 7 years. I have led study sessions in all of my computer science courses, and have developed practice exams and study guides for my fellow students as well. I have hosted in-person study sessions of 2 - 8 people, and have supervised and mentored individuals throughout my Air Force career.
