Hi! My name is Jennifer. I have worked in undergrad and medical school admissions, learning the ins and outs behind these very competitive admissions processes. Since then, I have transitioned into education consulting full-time and have worked with dozens of students/candidates, guiding them as we shape the perfect narrative.

Each student has unique experiences, and my goal is to craft essays that highlight my student's qualities and, above all, leave the readers wanting more. In medical school, knowing your “why medicine” is key, so throughout the writing and editing process, I encourage my students to consider how/if their organization, word choice, tone, voice, and style add to their narrative. In undergrad admissions, a similar approach applies, but this time, we answer: who am I, what matters to me, and how have I been shaped by the world around me?

As a coach, I provide detailed feedback that guides students towards the end goal, and I also read essays line by line until we have a stellar application–whether it be for AMCAS and AACOMAS or for Common App and the UC application. Overall, I am here to take the pressure off your shoulders. No ask is too big or too small, and I am here to listen, encourage, mentor, and empower.

Through this collaborative partnership, my students have successfully won fellowships, scholarships, and acceptances to top colleges and graduate schools, which include:
-Harvard University
-Princeton University
-University of Chicago
-USC
-UC Berkeley
-UCLA
-UT Austin
-Columbia Law School
-Duke Law School
-Georgetown University School of Medicine
-Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth
-David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA
-Albert Einstein College of Medicine
-USC Marshall School of Business
-Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health

College Counseling

I have served as a college essay/application counselor for six years, and I have mentored dozens of students as they researched colleges and medical schools, finalized their lists, brainstormed and drafted their personal statements, completed their supplemental essays, and attended interviews. I have also supported students applying to scholarships and fellowships.

I completed AP Spanish Language and AP Spanish Literature in high school. I received a 5 on both exams. My kid loved working with her

My son was exhausted- had finished his many college essays and then needed to write an important scholarship essay. He was fried. In one meeting Jennifer helped him with a game plan and his attitude changed completely - he then knew he could write it and knew exactly how to do it. The best money I’ve ever spent. My son never wants work with a tutor or a coach and generally finds the process tedious - but he found jennifer extremely helpful and very much appreciated her expertise and her efficiency. I wish I had found her earlier. It was also great that she was easy to communicate with and flexible with timing.

Essay Writing

Jennifer was incredibly helpful in assisting my daughter with her essay. She not only guided her through the writing process but also took the time to identify and explain the gaps in her work. Jennifer's approach was both constructive and encouraging, which made a significant difference in my daughter’s understanding and improvement. We are very grateful for her support and will definitely be scheduling future sessions with her to continue the progress.

Fabulous to work with

Jennifer has been an amazing asset to helping my son prepare for his college applications to a prestigious school. She has always been very upfront and honest and my son had been truly amazed with her patients. My son has high functioning autism and believes he is the smartest one around, however Jennifer has pushed my son to be open to her suggestions. She uses her time very wisely and productively. We don't know if our son will be accepted, but as his parents, we feel that we supported him and gave him the best opportunity!!!
