Hello, my name’s Kaylee! I recently graduated Summa Cum Laude with my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, and I began my college experience at a local community college, where I received an Associate of Arts degree. I am now starting my journey toward a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. As a student, some of my proudest moments have been papers, projects, and presentations I was confident would serve as guiding examples for future students. Regarding sewing and arts, I am a trained hobbyist of over 10 years who has won numerous craftsmanship awards for costume work and volunteered in the costume department of a local community college.
Although I am brand new to formal tutoring, I’ve always been one to provide educational guidance and tips to friends and classmates. Outside of academia, I have been running educational panels at pop culture events throughout the Southwest since 2017, where I’ve taught audiences about topics ranging from sewing techniques and fashion design to stage presence and even media analyses. What I’ve learned from each of these experiences and my own educational journey is that learning thrives in an environment where both parties feel comfortable collaborating and communicating. I like to discuss example scenarios and problems along with memorization tools, prompt-reading techniques, brain-storming tips, problem-solving, sharing helpful resources, and more while maintaining a conversational yet professional voice.
Whether it be scientific research papers, short stories, poems, sewing projects, psychology, or math work, I aim to help students gain confidence and feel proud of their learning. I always aim to respond to inquiries in a timely manner to the best of my abilities. If you have any questions about fit, feel free to reach out!
