I am a Northern Arizona University (NAU) alumna and I received a Master of Arts in Applied Anthropology with a focus on archaeology and museum studies. I am passionate about anthropology and I have a wide variety of interests within the field including archaeology, cultural anthropology, museum studies, and indigenous studies. I believe anthropology is important because it strives to foster understanding between cultural differences. As an anthropology student myself, I want to share my passion for and experiences as an applied anthropologist with as many students as possible.

I have two years' experience as a teaching assistant for 100 and 300 level anthropology and archaeology courses. I graded written assignments and created quizzes based on course readings. I enjoy reading student work and providing feedback that results in a well-structured paper with a clear argument. Anthropological theory is challenging at times and my in-depth discussions inside and outside the classroom allow me to effectively facilitate a meaningful discussion to increase the student's understanding of the subject.

I have a broad understanding of the four-field approach in American Anthropology and in-depth knowledge in archaeology, cultural anthropology, and museum anthropology. As an anthropology graduate student, I significantly expanded my knowledge of anthropology theory, writing, and the application of anthropology outside of academia. I am willing to help students unpack and understand anthropological theory and methods and assist with academic writing. Additionally, I can share of insights into the practical applications of anthropology.

Writing is tricky for many and I struggled with writing when I was in school. I, however, acquired the skills and resources for writing and grammar and my writing significantly improved. I can share my best tips and advice for writing academic essays and I will try to make your writing experience a positive one.

I am passionate about anthropology and would love to help you explor
