Hi there and ¡bienvenido! My name is Beth and I earned my Master’s Degree in Spanish with Honors from Northern Arizona University and hold current K-12 Spanish teaching credentials in Arizona, Oregon, and Pennsylvania. For more than 20 years, I’ve worked with over 1,000 students, teaching and tutoring at the middle school, high school, and college levels, both in person and online. My experience includes teaching in dual immersion programs, at Yavapai and Cochise Colleges, Northern Arizona University, Prescott College, as well as working with businesses and private students. No matter the setting, I’ve always focused on helping students build confidence and see real progress in their Spanish skills.
When I tutor, I like to make lessons personal, interactive, and connected to real life. Spanish isn’t just about passing a test - it’s about communicating, traveling, and connecting with people in new ways. Having lived abroad several times, I know how exciting (and useful!) it is to put language skills into action. My goal is to help you succeed in class and feel more comfortable using Spanish in everyday situations. I can’t wait to work with you, share what I’ve learned, and help you reach your goals!
Finally, I am a good communicator and will reach out to you quickly with feedback on your questions and if you have follow up comments, we can always chat about that too. Feel free to connect with me on any questions related to that:)
