Hello, I'm Alyssa - it's wonderful to meet you! I have been teaching piano and violin to all ages for over 20 years. I hold a BA in Music in both Violin and Piano Performance and have extensive training and experience in pedagogy. I find some of my greatest joy in helping my students discover a love of music that's all their own!

I have maintained a vibrant private music studio for over 20 years. As a pianist, I've been on the piano faculty at Seattle Pacific University, as well as served as a Collaborative Pianist there for 16 years. As a violinist, I've been the lead violin coach for the Cascade Youth Symphony Orchestras and Summer Sounds music program. I have performed extensively on both instruments, as a soloist and as a chamber and orchestral musician. I've served as the Music Theory instructor for Pacifica Children's Chorus and been the primary accompanist for many studios all throughout the Pacific Northwest.

My students have described me as warm, encouraging, inspiring, patient and motivating. While many of my students have gone on to pursue music careers of their own, others have carried a deep, lifelong love of music with them into a wide variety of fields. I strive to best meet the needs of each of my students individually while creating a rich, vibrant learning environment for all.
