Important to point out that you do not need to purchase a drum kit or drum prior to the first lesson. If after the first lesson, should you be totally comfortable going forward, I will guide you as to what and where purchase percussion instruments at a reasonable price.

Want everyone to be completely comfortable before going forward. The first lesson, though not complementary, will give you and your child the ability to experience how I work and to see if it's a good fit for you.

Started teaching in 1988, and working with special needs children, teens, and adults of all diagnosis in 2006. Taught percussion ensembles at Lanternman High School for four years in Los Angeles, CA., which is the largest Special Needs High School on the west coast. The percussion protocol used at Lanternman focused on Social Skills, Academic Concepts, and Positive Communication.

In addition to teaching at Lanternman, I have worked for many organizations, such as The Hope Academy for Autism, Breakthrough Academy, First Place, Atlas Foundation, SARC, and facilitated train the trainer sessions for organizations, such as the Rich Center for Autism, in Youngstown, Ohio.
