Hello! My name is Aja, but I prefer to go by "Gem." I enjoy tutoring students in Math, English, Spanish, AutoCAD, and SketchUp. I graduated from Vicksburg High School in Mississippi, where I enrolled in AP/Honors courses and was an active member of the Boys and Girls Club, National Honor Society, and Mu Alpha Theta. Hello! My name is Aja, but I prefer to go by "Gem." I enjoy tutoring students in Math, English, Spanish, AutoCAD, and SketchUp. I graduated from Vicksburg High School in Mississippi, where I enrolled in AP/Honors courses and was an active member of the Boys and Girls Club, National Honor Society, and Mu Alpha Theta. I received the President's Award for being in the top ten and the Gator Award for community service.
I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in English with a minor in Math from The University of Mississippi as a Luckyday Academic Excellence Scholar. During my freshman year, my poem "Beautiful Eyes" was published in the Venture Online Volume 6 Freshman Writing Magazine. As a Luckyday Scholar, I tutored my peers in College Algebra, Calculus 1-4, General Chemistry, and English. I later completed my Master of Architecture degree with honors at Arizona State University.
Throughout my academic journey, I have helped students overcome challenges and develop a love for learning. I also enjoyed proofreading papers and providing feedback to my classmates, helping them improve their work before deadlines.
My participation in Mu Alpha Theta conventions at Mississippi College certified me to tutor high school students for the Subject Area Testing Program (SATP) examinations in Algebra 1 and 2, Geometry, Trigonometry, and Pre-Calculus, as well as the ACT Math section. I achieved the 99th percentile in English, 97th percentile in Math, and 99th percentile in Reading on the ACT and ACT COMPASS examinations, which further qualified me to tutor for the Stanford Achievement Tests (SAT-10), ACT, and other exams.

I have taken the ACT and COMPASS English examination and received a 99 percentile. I was allowed to tutor for these sections as a National Honor Society member. I also received high honors for the English examinations conducted a the school and was allowed to tutor for national testing in English.

I graduated with a math minor and have tutored in ACT math after receiving a 97 percentile. I was a mu alpha theta and national honor society member and was allowed to tutor for the state testing in the subjects as well. I was qualified to tutor further after receiving a 97 percentile on the COMPASS.

I received a 99 percentile in the ACT and the COMPASS examinations. I was allowed to tutor in these areas after joining the National Honor Society. I received high honors for tutoring in the Reading area and improved the students' understanding of the subject.

I received my Master of Architecture degree from Arizona State University in 2022. I have been working as an Architectural Designer for two years. Currently, I also tutor students in architecture. I have also worked as a teaching assistant for architecture courses while in school and taught my fellow peers.

I have completed bachelor's courses including the use of AutoCAD and still currently use the software for current projects in various classes. I have tutored many students and classmates within my program who are in the 3+ Master of Architecture courses so they could learn the program within a few weeks' time. They have excelled in using the program at a fast pace and understand how to edit their drawings in the program.

She accommodates my son anytime he needs help. Great tutor who knows all the info about Geometry at her fingertips. My son hates math but with the help of this tutor, he's started getting excited. This tutor is extremely cheap when you compare with what she covers during a session. I used to pay another tutor twice as much but not much result noted.
