I am a University professor and truly passionate to help students be more knowledgeable, understand, keep up and get ahead of their peers. There is no greater reward than the expression of a student who not only understands but fully comprehends the mechanics of a topic.

Helping students improve their academic performance is important for me, but much more valuable is helping them be more sure about their capabilities and abilities. Confidence will help them not only succeed as students, but as future professionals.

I have experience teaching Economics and Finance in the U.S. and spent a few years as an Economics and Business Economics Professor in a British University, where my superior teaching skills allowed me to receive outstanding reviews on our annual teaching evaluations. Until now, my former students reach out to me for help and guidance, which I find particularly rewarding since it shows not only their opinion of me as a particularly competent instructor but most importantly shows the high esteem and strong bond I am able to create with students.

While my teaching has been mostly focused in microeconomics, macroeconomics and finance at the undergraduate level, my research and publications have mainly focused in the fields of monetary economics, capital controls, bank panics, liquidity in financial markets, among others.

I make sure students fully comprehend a topic and build up from their current level of understanding. In Economics and Finance, a strong foundation is essential in order to comprehend future topics; I strive to make sure students not only build this foundation but more importantly that they are aware and confident of their abilities and potential.

I have a flexible schedule and happy to travel to a convenient location for students. I speak four languages

I found Alex on short notice cause I needed more help studying for my exam and Alex was incredibly helpful. Knowledgable and Patient Tutor!

Alex is very knowledgeable about economics and is able to simplify concepts and give real like examples so you remember. He keeps the lessons engaging and checks in that you are grasping the lesson. He is also very patient and kind and always goes out of his way for his students. He even accommodated my crazy schedule in CA. To prepare for my exam he created sample test questions and went through them with me after I did them. He is the best tutor I have had so far in Wyzant and is reasonably priced.
