I searched for quite some time for a French tutor in my area before meeting Elodie. I'm so glad that she was able to take me on as a student and every lesson has been a pleasure. She's was more than flexible when deciding on a session location (we ended up Skyping as I'm a bit far) and her lessons are extremely well organized. I have a little background in French, but she started me off with a quick comprehension test to determine my skill level before beginning. Since then, each lesson has built upon the previous smoothly and understandably. My vocabulary and comprehension are noticeably improving and I genuinely look forward to each lesson. She provides homework to ensure that you're practicing between lessons and also a grammar book, as well. Definitely don't hesitate to reach out if looking for a tutor! She's fantastic!

Vocabulary enhancement.
We discussed how to increase my vocabulary. Elodie suggested that topics of mutual interest, about which we are both knowledgeable, might make learning new vocabulary easier for me. We probably will try this. However, if the topic interests me, I tend to speak English rather than French. We'll see if this works.

Elodie was incredibly well prepared for our lesson. She gave me a quick aptitude test during our first lesson and then got me started immediately with work in her own well designed work book. Elodie is a very experienced and professional tutor. Additionally, she is patient and kind. Elodie arrived for my first lesson without knowing my level of knowledge of the French language and was able to quickly adapt the lesson to my needs. Her French accent is clear and easy to understand. She has developed her own system and modules that are very organized and easy to follow. Furthermore, she is willing to travel to your location and is also available to teach via Skype. I highly recommend Elodie as a tutor for both adults and children.
