I am a Mechanical Engineer with a Bachelor's of Science Degree from the University of Texas at Arlington (GPA of 3) who was a recipient of the Joe R. Martin Engineering scholarship. I took extra courses in Control Systems (4), Microprocessors, Mechatronics and Composite Materials (taught by industry expert) for an unconventionally broad degree. I went on take Graduate courses in Mechanical Engineering at Arizona State University in Continuum Mechanics, Finite Element Method, and Vibrations (GPA of 3).
I went on to gain more than 30 years of professional experience in multiple industries, but especially semiconductors, microchips and computer systems. This work gained me many corporate awards for key contributions to: the first 1 GHz processor, the first dual-core processor, and the specific, low-power, small microprocessors that made the first Macbook Air laptops possible.
During this time, I crafted many different kinds of technical instruction for newly hired adult engineering employees. I also taught multiple, company-wide technical classes over 4 years to people from multiple countries. In addition, I also often mentored young engineers and college interns. What's more, I've volunteered time to teach high school and college students various subjects in mathematics, science, computer software, public speaking and leadership.
My approach is to understand the background and interests of those I’m teaching and present the new information in a context that shows its relevance and utility to their interests. I look forward to you reaching out to me through the platform and letting me know about your needs and goals so we can strategize how to get you what you need. Thank you.

Approved Subjects

Mechanical Engineering

Mechanical Engineering

BSME + Graduate courses in Continuum Mechanics and Finite Element Method. Most professional experience is in R&D, Design, Manufacturing and Quality / Reliability of Semiconductor products, Microprocessors, and Computer Systems. Other experience includes multiple facets of Oil Field Engineering and Mining Tools Engineering. Within multinational corporations I have taught courses in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing, Statistical Tolerance Stack Analysis and Understanding Mechanical Drawings. I also volunteered time intermittently tutoring High School and College students in Mathematics, Physics, Public Speaking and Leadership.
Public Speaking

Public Speaking

Successfully completed 12 week Dale Carnegie course in “Effective Communications & Human Relations.” Also won the following awards for my performance in the course: “Outstanding Performance”, “Crashing Through” and “Human Relations.” Tasked by multiple, non-profit organizations, with whom I volunteered, to provide public speaking endorsements. I also have many years of experience presenting complex topics to Vice-President-level management under compressed time constraints to make urgent, critical decisions.
Thermodynamics

Thermodynamics

I earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Texas at Arlington involving successful completion of 2 classes in Thermodynamics and classes in Heat Transfer and Fluid Mechanics. I also have 27 years practical experience in Electronic Device and System Cooling that involved the above academic knowledge. Specific examples include designing thermodynamics-based, evaporative-cycle, cooling devices like vapor chambers and heat pipes with remote heat exchangers. I also performed Finite Element Analysis thermal simulations on electronic devices.
