Hi! I’m Smeeta—a lifelong math lover with over 20 years of experience in both the tech and education space. I always took AP Math throughout high school and graduated with a 5.0 GPA. In college, I earned A’s in Calculus I, II, and III, and I was the go-to tutor for my friends who needed help in math. I hold a B.S. in Computer Science from UC San Diego and an MBA in Finance from UCLA, which have both strengthened my analytical thinking and deepened my passion for teaching.

I specialize in tutoring students ages 5 to 14, helping them build confidence and mastery in math—from foundational skills to more advanced topics like geometry and pre-calculus. I actually began tutoring college students while still in high school and have continued ever since, including volunteering in schools to teach kids ages 5 to 11 whenever I had the opportunity.

In my sessions, I offer patient, engaging one-on-one instruction that is tailored to each student’s learning style. I focus on clear and relatable explanations that help math concepts truly stick. I work both online and in person (based in California), and my students consistently improve by two grade levels or more. I tutor a wide range of subjects including basic math, fractions, decimals, ratios, word problems, pre-algebra, algebra I, geometry, and pre-calculus for advanced middle schoolers.

I believe every student can succeed at math with the right support and mindset. My goal is not only to help students improve their grades but also to develop a genuine understanding—and even love—for the subject. There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing those “light bulb” moments when it all clicks. I strive to make every session impactful, encouraging, and fun.
