I have developed a deep understanding of organizational management, strategic vision, and team leadership. I have successfully led teams, developed strategic plans, and implemented operational improvements, all of which are crucial for tutoring in areas related to business strategy, organizational behavior, and project management. My educational achievements, including a Bachelor of Applied Science in Management and a Certificate in Nursing.
In my most recent role at Hustle PHX, I taught entrepreneurship to justice-involved youth. This hands-on experience involved working with young individuals who were seeking opportunities to develop entrepreneurial skills and build a foundation for future business ventures. I used a combination of interactive, practical learning methods to engage students, such as real-world case studies, group discussions, and collaborative projects. My approach emphasized critical thinking, problem-solving, and financial literacy, ensuring that students not only understood business fundamentals but also learned how to apply them in real-world contexts.
In the process, I encouraged creativity and innovation, fostering a growth mindset where students could visualize their success as entrepreneurs. The students I taught at Hustle PHX were justice-involved youth, typically between the ages of 16 and 24. These young adults were looking for positive, productive ways to rebuild their lives and explore entrepreneurship as a career path. I have led multiple courses, each lasting several months, with continual mentoring throughout. My teaching occurred in a combination of group settings and one-on-one mentorship. The classroom environment allowed for collaborative learning and peer interaction, while my one-on-one mentorship provided tailored support for students facing unique challenges. In this volunteer-based, non-profit context, my goal was to foster an engaging, supportive learning environment where students could feel empowered to pursue their entrepreneurial ambitions.
