Hello! I am Anwar. I am a recent graduate of Arizona State University with a strong academic background which I believe makes me an ideal tutor for high school and early college students in biomedical engineering, biology, and other STEM subjects. I graduated with a B.S.E. in Biomedical Engineering from Arizona State University, where I was part of Barrett, the Honors College, and maintained strong academic standing throughout my studies. During my undergraduate years, I worked on numerous challenging projects, including a capstone that involved developing a non-invasive hydrogel for male contraception, where my team won the NIH Venture DEBUT award. I also contributed to the development of a novel collagen-based scaffold to aid in corneal repair.
My coursework included advanced topics such as tissue engineering, biomechanics, and drug delivery systems, allowing me to build a broad and deep understanding of biomedical concepts. I also gained significant lab experience in molecular biology, chemistry, and regenerative medicine, which helped me be proficient practical applications of these subjects. I consistently thrived in opportunities to deepen my understanding through projects, like developing a drug delivery model involving biodegradable nanomotors, and through roles in research labs focusing on biomechanics and genetic engineering. I am confident that these academic achievements not only reflect my proficiency in STEM but also my commitment to learning and applying knowledge in meaningful ways.
