I have played Chess for over 40 years. I started when I was 6 years old. I didn't have a chess coach. I taught myself using books and computers. I learned tactics and strategies. I learned how to calculate and analyze different positions. I also did tons of puzzles and learned openings to improve my game. I joined my first U.S.C.F tournament when I was 10 years old. When I went to High School I joined my first Chess Club. My skill level was higher than the other students that joined so I taught them for the team's betterment. My Junior and Senior year we earned the first-place team trophies. That is where I found my passion to coach chess. I never give up. People learn from me because of my love of the game.
I played Professional chess after graduating high school with a 1637 rating through the U.S.C.F. Currently I am an expert rated player and working towards a master. I also teach Chess to many students at schools and afterschool clubs K-12. I have realized that having a coach is beneficial for students based on the work I did growing up in the chess world. I am amazed to see the progress of my students. Nothing is more rewarding than to see your student take home their first trophy. I train adults that want to improve their game as well. I am a qualified Chess Coach for over 15 years.
