I don't claim to be an entertainer, but I strive to make my lessons as useful, relevant, and interesting as I can. As a teacher, I do not merely provide information, but use proven methods to make lessons understandable and memorable. I believe a teacher's role is to foster motivation and provide encouragement in addition to expert knowledge.
My bachelor's degree is in psychology, and I have kept up with research in psychology and neuroscience on learning, memory, and motivation, and I apply these to my methods. I am always happy to answer questions about why we are doing an activity and how it will benefit my students.
