Hello Friends!

My name is Ms. Patty! I have my degree in Early Childhood Education and more than 10 wonderful years experience as a lead teacher in Pre-Kindergarten.

Teaching has been a lifelong dream of mine; my parents were both elementary school educators, so following in their footsteps was an obvious choice for me. The pleasures of teaching are endless, and it warms my heart to have past students come back with hugs and thanks for making a difference in their lives!

In the classroom, I believe in discovery and experimentation and I have seen first-hand how young children flourish in an environment of encouragement, kindness, patience and love. Life’s lessons can be learned effortlessly when impressionable minds are open. My expectations are high, but my encouragement is abundant.

Success in math...is accomplished through learning it in fun ways. If a student succeeds by adding or subtracting objects or learning charting and graphing through building towers with tiles....then they will easily transition to traditional math with confidence.

English is a personal favorite....my enthusiasm and confidence will easily lead a struggling student to success.

Phonics is easy to learn once a child has learned all the letter sounds. They will naturally progress to listening for beginning and ending sounds in words and progress to rhyming and word families.

My style of teaching is loving, playful, lighthearted, fun and appears effortless, which results in the children believing they have lesson with me for nothing more than to have fun, but the results will speak for themselves, and the children’s readiness in kindergarten will be uncompromised.

I am so excited to get started with your kiddos. We have so much to learn and experience together. With you as my partners, I can’t wait to see what heights we are able to take them.
