Hi, I'm Melody! I thoroughly enjoy teaching English, whether with children or adults improving their English skills as a second language. I have taught visually impaired adults how to how to read, write, listen and speak in English as well as international undergraduate students; I've used many different styles of teaching being sure to match the style with the needs of the student. I find this is the most effective and rewarding.

I have tutored students from all over the world including China, Japan, Iran, Butan, Afghanistan, Somolia, Kenya and Burundi. I enjoy learning about the cultures of each student even while I assist them in becoming more familiar with the American culture and the English language.

I graduated summa cum laude from Arizona State University(ASU) with my Bachelors in Linguistics while consecutively earning my TESOL certificate. Additionally, I received my Master's degree from ASU with a 4.0GPA. My education prepared me for success teaching English grammar, principles and skills of English, and a plethora of teaching styles to meet the needs of each student. Along with these degrees, I received The College Leaders certificate of recognition from ASU's College of Liberal Arts and Sciences for being in the top one half of one percent in my class.
