I have a strong academic foundation in helping students learn, with a Bachelor's degree in Counseling from Arizona State University and a Master's in Special Education in progress, also at ASU. I have spent the past four years tutoring high school, junior high, and elementary school students in Elementary Math, Geometry, Prealgebra, Algebra I, and Algebra II, and I enjoy making math feel approachable and manageable for learners who may not feel confident at first. My approach is warm, friendly, and steady, and I focus on helping students understand concepts step by step so they can build real confidence in their abilities.
Alongside tutoring, I have worked for more than three years as a Registered Behavior Technician supporting children ages two through eight. In that role, I regularly helped students with skill building, routines, and completing worksheets, which strengthened my ability to keep learners engaged, break down tasks into clear parts, and create a calm environment where they feel safe to try. I am especially effective with students who are anxious, easily frustrated, or who need extra patience and encouragement. I now bring all of this experience into my online tutoring sessions for K-6 math, Prealgebra, Algebra I, Geometry, and Algebra II. I am reliable, consistent, and committed to helping students make steady progress while feeling supported every step of the way.
