Hello! My name is Ari. I am a two-time alumna from the University of Michigan. I earned my B.S. in Psychology in 2020 and my M.S. in Psychology in 2021.
While at U of M, I was an assistant teacher for "Intro to Psychology" and "Psychological Research Methods". I taught two discussion sections for the lecture every week for two semesters. Additional tasks for the course included helping to create course assignments, grading tests and essays, holding office hours, and completing any administrative tasks pertaining to students enrolled in my course sections.
I have also taught dance at a studio since 2023 and was an Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) behavioral technician. I have much experience teaching children aged 2-15 and have worked with many children with behavioral issues and learning deficits. It is my passion to help all children receive the support they need to achieve their personal and academic goals and dreams regardless of how they learn.
I have taught one-on-one and in a class format. I am available to meet online or at a public location such as a library close to you! I specialize in Algebra I. I have tutored a family friend one-on-one in the course officially, but my work with that student was so successful that I decided to pursue tutoring as a side-job in my free time! I have Algebra lesson plans and problems, but can also work with student provided material (such as homework and class problems) from their specific course if desired. I am open to adjusting tutoring sessions according to student needs and goals. Message me with any inquiries about Algebra I, and help your student grasp their Algebra coursework!
I am also open to helping students with other courses and ACT/SAT test prep as well. I took all honors and AP courses in high school and earned a 31 on the ACT (≈1390-1410 SAT). Please message me with inquiries and discussion of additional academic services and get your student the support and encouragement they seek!
Thank you!
