In both private practice and clinical roles, I provided one-on-one nutrition education to individuals across a wide age range, from young adults to older adults. My work involved explaining complex medical and nutrition concepts in a way that was practical, approachable, and tailored to each individual’s level of understanding. While my teaching experience has primarily been one-on-one rather than in a classroom setting, it has been consistent and ongoing throughout my professional career.
I also bring a unique perspective as someone who has personally used Wyzant while preparing for my own Registered Dietitian exam. Experiencing the platform from a student’s point of view helped me understand the importance of individualized instruction, patience, and clear explanations when learning challenging material. That experience strongly informs how I approach tutoring today.
My tutoring style is supportive, flexible, and student-centered. I focus on helping students truly understand concepts rather than rely on memorization alone. I adapt sessions to different learning styles and often use real-life examples, visuals, and step-by-step explanations to make topics like clinical nutrition, metabolism, and biochemistry easier to grasp. My goal is to help students build confidence, clarity, and a strong foundation they can carry forward.
