Hi! I’m Facundo Certoma, currently pursuing my bachelor’s degree at Grand Canyon University while also completing an associate’s in foreign language at MCC. I have a deep passion for math and helping others succeed, which started in high school when I began tutoring my peers — teaching seniors and juniors one-on-one during lunch in my teacher’s classroom. Since then, I’ve continued tutoring students in elementary math (pre-6), Algebra 1 & 2, Geometry, Physics, SAT/ACT, and even some advanced college algebra. I completed advanced math courses, including honors trigonometry and calculus, as early as age 16, which gives me a strong foundation to guide students at every level.
My tutoring approach is patient, step-by-step, and tailored to each student’s pace. I focus on identifying and reinforcing the areas where students struggle while refining what they already know, helping build confidence alongside improved grades. I’ve also completed over 300 hours of service learning and tutoring, earning a certificate in Service Learning and Tutoring, which demonstrates my commitment and experience. The students I worked with in high school improved their grades by over 20%, and I bring that same dedication to every session, giving parents confidence that their child will be supported, understood, and guided toward success.
