Hello! My name is Chad, and I am currently a Teaching Assistant for Calculus I at Arizona State University, where I help students master limits, derivatives, and applications of calculus through weekly review sessions and one-on-one support. I also have prior tutoring experience from the University of Advancing Technology, where I worked with students on foundational math, algebra, and problem-solving skills. Across both universities, I’ve supported learners with a wide range of backgrounds—some preparing for engineering and computer science, and others returning to math after many years away from it.
My tutoring style focuses on making math feel clear, grounded, and less abstract whenever possible. I believe students learn best when concepts are connected to intuitive examples, visual reasoning, and real applications rather than memorized formulas. I adapt my approach to each student’s needs—some prefer step-by-step structure, others benefit from graphing or pattern recognition, and many simply need a patient guide who can explain concepts in a new way. Whether we’re working through a challenging derivative, reviewing algebra essentials, or preparing for an exam, my goal is to help you gain confidence, reduce frustration, and truly understand the “why” behind the math. I look forward to helping you succeed!
