I have master's degrees in Creative Writing and Business, and got my undergraduate degree at Brown University. It’s easy to get overwhelmed when trying to put complex thoughts and research down on paper – I’ll help you understand what your assignment is asking, organize your ideas, develop a structure, hone your focus and narrative, and present your ideas clearly and articulately. Once you have a draft, I’ll help you make sure your work meets academic conventions and expectations, whether you’re working on a thesis, dissertation, research paper, term paper, essay, or even a discussion board post. I’m also a professional academic proofreader and copyeditor, so you can be confident in your APA- or MLA-style citations and references when it’s time to submit.
Whatever stage your writing is at, I keep my feedback encouraging but specific, so you know exactly what to do to improve your work while taking your essay and paper writing skills to the next level.
In addition to teaching composition and creative writing at the university level, I’m also a published fiction writer, and love helping creative writers level up their craft. We’ll create your own mini workshop, and I’ll provide advice tailored to your goals as a writer, whether that’s publishing in your favorite magazine, revising your novel, or writing your memoir.
Finally, I also tutor SAT Reading and Writing and test prep, and follow proven strategies to reduce text anxiety and help you figure out where to focus your efforts to see your score improve.
