Hello! My name is Lesley and I’m passionate about learning and teaching. I received a BA in Secondary Education with a focus on Mathematics for my undergraduate degree and am currently working on a Master’s in Mathematics. I taught all grade levels of high school math for 4 years (from pre-algebra through precalculus) and have experience tutoring all levels of math through college calculus. I’ve also worked as a data analyst and consultant in the government healthcare sector for the last 6 years but my heart has always been in teaching. My favorite part of teaching was connecting with students and seeing the progress and growth they make over time. I specialize in mathematics through college calculus, but have experience and can tutor any subject up through US grade 9 or teach basic excel skills (such as analyzing small data sets or building summary spreadsheets).
My goal in tutoring is to help build confidence and knowledge in whatever content you are learning. I have experience working with all types of learners and am happy to adapt our tutoring sessions to what works best for you – whether it be discussions, guided practices, lots of examples, discussing test taking strategies, or concept reviews.
