I graduated from Northern Arizona University with a degree in teaching, which set the foundation for a rewarding career in education. Following my graduation, I relocated to Fukushima, Japan, where I had the privilege of teaching conversational English to a diverse range of learners, from young children aged 5 to adults up to 75 years old. My experience included teaching in various settings, including businesses like Fujitzu and Toyocom, where I engaged with students in their workplaces.

During my time in Fukushima, I became the Head Teacher of the Fukushima English Center. In this role, I developed the curriculum for all teachers at the center and provided individualized coaching to enhance students' fundamental understanding of English and spoken communication. My efforts led to significant improvements in students' test scores, and I was especially proud to help a young man win a state speech competition.

After two enriching years in Japan, I returned to the United States and continued my career at Arizona State University (ASU), where I eventually served as the Assistant Dean of W. P. Carey's School of Business. This role allowed me to further explore my passion for higher education and business.

Now, as a mother of two grown children, I am eager to return to teaching as a tutor. My goal is to create a comfortable and enjoyable learning environment where students can explore the English language and its culture without stress. I am committed to leveraging existing tools to facilitate learning, eliminating the need for additional purchases. My focus will be on pronunciation and conversational English, and I am flexible in adapting my approach to meet each student's unique learning journey. I am excited to work with learners of all ages, as my love for teaching and connecting with people drives my passion for education.
