Kierstyn has taught more than seventy students over the last fifteen years, and helps her students learn the songs they want to learn on instruments they are passionate about. She can teach piano in a classical, jazz, or pop style. Guitar and drums can be taught in the following genres: pop, rock, country, metal, and worship.
She can also teach songwriting, music theory, and composition. She won the Arizona statewide Women's Composers Competition in 2015, was nominated for an ariZoni award for her original score for the musical "Poseidon's Regret" in 2016, and was a semi-finalist in the International Songwriting Competition for her original song "Worth It" in 2022.
