Hi, my name is John and I tutor general chemistry, organic chemistry, biochemistry, math, physics, and biology at the University, College, and High School levels. I have over 2000 hours tutoring experience in these classes. I have also written and published a general chemistry tutorial workbook which I sell directly to students and use with my general chemistry students. I hold two Degrees from Arizona State University.

My approach to tutoring is straightforward: I explain calculations and concepts in a step by step manner and work interactively with students; answering any questions in addition to my tutorial explanations. For example, I will explain a concept or calculation, then I will provide practice problems to make sure the student has learned the calculation or concept. This approach has proven to be highly effective , and the students I meet with regularly, earn A and B grades.

I also specialize in tutoring very technical classes: In chemistry, I offer tutoring in every chemistry class including organic chemistry, and have tutored several hundred students in general chemistry, organic chemistry, biochemistry, and engineering chemistry, and I have achieved successful results.

I meet both in person and online and have meet online with students from all over the United States. In addition I meet in person locally in the Phoenix, Tempe, and Scottsdale areas with ASU and community college students and Scottsdale Public Schools high school students. My tutoring rate is $65 per hour. Give me a call and let's schedule a session!
