Best Tutor ever

I just wanted to share my experience for anyone who’s struggling with the quantitative portion of the GRE. After trying a different tutor with no real progress, I found an amazing tutor on Wyzant who truly made all the difference. In just 3 weeks, my quant score improved by 8 points! I met with him every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for about an hour to an hour and a half. He provided personalized worksheets every other session so I could practice what we went over, and he always took the time to walk through the problems I struggled with. His teaching style was incredibly patient, supportive, and easy to follow, he never once made me feel discouraged or incapable. What impressed me the most was his flexibility. I’m stationed overseas, and he willingly adjusted to my time zone, even waking up early in the morning his time just so I could tutor at 9 PM mine. That kind of dedication and care is rare. If you’re considering a GRE tutor and want someone who actually takes the time to help you understand the material, I cannot recommend him and Wyzant tutoring enough. Truly grateful!

Andy helped me prepare for the EA. In our first few sessions we identified problem sets that were more difficult for me and made a point to focus on those as we worked together. I'd either bring in questions from practice tests or he would populate the board with questions from those categories with official GMAT questions. As we went on we continued to add and focus on questions that continued to trip me. He was always prepared and extremely focused as we worked through each type of problem. Thank you Andy!

I looked into 8 different tutors before picking with Andy. Andy knows his math, knows how to distill complex math topics, and most Importantly has worksheets for you to practice!! Lots of tutors just want to go through problems you get wrong with little actual teaching or learning. Andy will teach you a concept, you’ll practice it together, and then he’ll give you a worksheet to help build the muscle memory. I had 3 weeks to improve my gre quant score and with Andy’s help I improved 6 points.
