Senior in School of Engineering at Vanderbilt

I started organized tutoring in high school, but have helped my peers in their studies since kindergarten (skipping nap time and helping students count by 5s). I am a rising senior at Vanderbilt, and have helped those in and outside my classes. The types of classes I often help my peers in are math (calculus through differential equations and linear algebra) and science (physics and chemistry). I am also very open to tutoring for standardized tests (ACT, SAT, ASVAB, etc.). I am majoring in Engineering Science (a make-your-own engineering major) and minoring in Computer Science, Engineering Management, and Scientific Computing.

I have always been able to make a meaningful connection with the students I tutor, which creates a suitable learning environment. I have a natural aptitude for learning and being able to explain concepts I've learned to others. I think the majority of students would benefit from being tutored, even those that are considered high-achieving. We all have subjects we struggle with and would benefit from that personal attention that comes with 1-on-1 tutoring. I strive to be that personal tutor that helps students understand the material better.

Math Qualifications: ACT Math (34), SAT Subject Test Math II (730), Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, IB Math SL, Calculus 1, Calculus 2, Multi-variable Calculus, Differential Equations w/ Linear Algebra

Science Qualifications: I scored 35 on ACT Science.
