Hi! My name is Florencia Y., and I’m a current veterinary student with a background in Animal Science and a strong academic foundation in STEM subjects. Throughout my academic career, I have completed extensive coursework in biology, chemistry, organic chemistry, biochemistry, algebra, trigonometry, and precalculus, which allows me to confidently support students in both math and science. In addition, I have spent the past two years tutoring elementary school students (K–6) in math, English, and science in one-on-one settings. This experience has helped me develop the ability to break down complex concepts into simple, approachable steps that younger learners can understand and apply.

My tutoring approach is patient, adaptable, and student-centered. I recognize that every student learns differently, so I tailor each session to match their individual needs—whether that means slowing down to build a strong foundation, using real-life examples to make abstract concepts more relatable, or reinforcing material through practice and repetition. I strive to create a supportive, low-pressure environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and building confidence in their abilities. Beyond completing homework, I focus on helping students develop critical thinking skills and effective study habits that will benefit them long-term.

I am happy to assist with homework, exam preparation, and ongoing academic support, and I welcome both one-on-one and small group sessions.
