I bring a diverse and robust teaching background in chemistry and related disciplines. My journey began in Cuba, where I taught high school chemistry for one year in both a classroom and one-on-one settings. During that time, I specialized in preparing students for national and international competitions, including the International Chemistry Olympiad (IChO). This role involved advanced instruction in inorganic, analytical, physical, and organic chemistry, fostering both deep knowledge and a passion for the subject.
Since moving to the United States, I’ve continued to share my expertise across various age groups and subjects. As a tutor for CogniTutor, I worked with middle and high school students on math, science, and English, tailoring my approach to each learner's unique needs. My role as an after-school instructor with Mad Science in Arizona allowed me to engage kindergarten through 8th-grade students with fun, hands-on lessons. These experiences strengthened my ability to teach complex concepts in an accessible and engaging way.
Currently, I am a chemistry tutor at Glendale Community College, supporting students in mastering chemical principles. My academic background includes honors coursework in Calculus I and III, Sustainable Cities, and General Chemistry, showcasing both my dedication to interdisciplinary learning and my strong foundation in mathematical applications. Additionally, I am pursuing a Bachelor's in Chemistry to deepen my expertise and continue my professional growth.
