Hi! My name is Megan! I have a strong educational background in Elementary Education, having earned an Associates Degree from Glendale Community College and furthering my expertise through becoming a Preschool teacher and Tutor for Elementary Students. My academic journey provided me with a solid foundation in reading and math, which I have since translated into effective tutoring practices. Understanding how students learn differently has been pivotal in my approach, allowing me to tailor my methods to meet individual needs. I find that the most important objective in tutoring is making sure the student is comfortable with me, and vice versa. I strive to learn each students' individual learning style and tailor my tutoring to that!

Over the past 4, I have gained extensive tutoring and teaching experience across various settings. I started as a Program Coach tutor at Read Better Be Better, where I worked with students from Middle School and Elementary school on reading comprehension. This experience helped me develop patience and adaptability, as I learned to modify my instructional techniques to engage and inspire my students. Following that, I promoted to Program Coordinator. This required me to run the program for an entire district! Following that, I taught in a classroom environment for Preschoolers, where I implemented interactive methods and collaborative projects that fostered a love for learning. My approach emphasizes not just mastery of content but also critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Through these experiences, I have seen firsthand the transformative power of education. My goal as a tutor is to build confidence in my students while helping them achieve their academic objectives. I am passionate about creating a supportive and engaging learning environment that encourages curiosity and a growth mindset, equipping students with the tools they need to succeed academically and beyond.
