I bring a strong background in education and student support with a master’s degree in social work and extensive experience working in school and academic settings. I have worked as a school counselor, educator, and student support professional across high school and college environments. In these roles, I have supported students with academic planning, study skills development, and personal and academic challenges that impact learning. My experience also includes teaching and tutoring students in both individual and group settings, where I focused on helping learners build confidence, improve performance, and develop practical strategies for success.
My tutoring approach is student-centered and focused on understanding how each learner processes information. I work to identify gaps in understanding, then break down concepts into clear, manageable steps. I place strong emphasis on building study skills, organization, and long-term academic habits rather than just short-term answers. In addition to subject support, I help students develop strategies for writing, test preparation, and critical thinking. I have worked with high school and college-age students, as well as adults returning to school or transitioning into new academic or career paths.
In addition to academic tutoring, I also support students with broader educational and career development goals. This includes guidance with academic writing, psychology coursework, and college success skills, as well as resume preparation and interview readiness for individuals entering or re-entering the workforce. My goal is to create a supportive and structured learning environment where students feel confident, capable, and prepared to meet their academic and professional goals.
