Hello students! My name is Madison. I graduated magna cum laude with a degree in Psychology and am in my final semester for my second degree in Public Safety. I have nearly ten years of tutoring experience behind me. At the beginning of my career, I worked as a college- level tutor at my school's writing center. After I graduated with my first degree, I was promoted to a coordinating position for the same college tutoring program. I have tutored students of all ages, and I have extensive experience working with students who have learning disabilities (ADHD, Dyslexia, dysgraphia, etc.). I am also well versed in assistive technology programs.
For the most part, I tutor psychology, reading, writing, public safety, and humanities courses. However, I also have some experience with philosophy courses, volleyball, and more. In my sessions, I like to promote independent learning through the use of multiple learning modalities. Not every student learns the same, therefore, I do not approach every session the same. It is my goal to have students not just complete their work, but also, understand it. In my sessions with students, I aspire to create an open environment where students feel comfortable asking questions. I believe it is okay for students to get things wrong, as it is the only way to learn. All my sessions are one-on-one online sessions. Each session is an hour-long. Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions you have or to schedule a lesson.
