Hello, my name is Nicole. I am a professional mixed media artist who has been working for five years, shown in multiple local galleries, and sold to private collectors. I learned from the Milan Art Institute for one year from professional artists. After a couple years of expanding my portfolio and selling privately, I began tutoring students and aspiring artists to help them achieve the skills to create what they wish to create, and do so in their own style.
I am a firm believer that anyone can learn how to make beautiful art, regardless of their current skill level or perceived 'talent'. I have taught students of various experience levels, ranging from complete beginners to those who are fairly experienced and merely wish to hone their skills a little more or seeking help on a particular project. I have taught a wide range of ages as well, from children in elementary school, up to those living in retirement homes. The wonders of art can reach all ages, all experience, and it has been my joy in the last three years to help others achieve their artistic goals. I specialize in a one on one setting or very small groups (three or less) as I believe that students get the most attention and instruction that way. However I am willing to work with a slightly larger group, please message me so we can sort out details and if my methods will work for you and your group.
I also firmly believe that the best way to learn art is to create it. While some lessons may focus more on concepts and learning how to critique works, I mostly prefer students to complete assignments both with me, and outside of class in order to really learn the skills to create their own artwork.
