Rachel B. was born in Greeley, Colorado and moved to Flagstaff in 2016 to pursue a Master's degree in Suzuki Pedagogy at NAU. Rachel has taught Suzuki violin privately and in the public schools for many years in flagstaff and loves teaches students of all ages. Her biggest teaching philosophy is that every student can achieve their goals no matter the age with hard work and encouragement!

Rachel received her undergraduate degree in Violin Performance from the University of Northern Colorado where she studied under Richard Fuchs and Margaret Soper- Guiterrez. Rachel has toured with orchestras and played in chamber festivals across the United States, Italy, Germany, England, and the Czech Republic. She plays with the Flagstaff Symphony Orchestra, the Arizona Philharmonic, and is serving as the Concertmaster of the Verde Valley Sinfonietta. When Rachel is not busy with her music, either performing or teaching, she enjoys baking and practicing the skills she learned as a certified pastry chef from Auguste Escoffier School of Pastry Arts.
