I have been a college-level English and ESL tutor for three years, and before that, I worked as a college advisor; however, I do not limit myself to college-level tutoring. I also worked as a liaison to families at The Ronald McDonald House in Spokane, Washington, and, as a part of my duties there, I worked with children either coping with a major illness or those with a sibling who were coping a major illness. I look forward to hearing from you, and helping your student meet their educational goals.
I have been a college-level English and ESL tutor for quite some time. I mainly worked one-on-one with students, but I also specialized in helping English and ESL students all over the West Coast meet specific writing goals through my participation with the an eTutoring Consortium. From time to time, I lead student writing workshops focusing on a certain goal for that week (vocab, grammar, proofreading, thesis sentences, introductions, conclusions, connecting sentences, etc).
Although I have mainly focused on my relevant work with college-level students, I don't limit myself to students in college, and I would never recommend that anybody, especially students in grades K-12, limit themselves either. I welcome any student or parent of a student to contact me in order to start a dialogue about what goals, subjects, and individualized needs you or your student may require and how I might be able to help accomplish these goals.
