For 20+ years I have worked in animal health and animal science, at all levels. I have an AAS in Veterinary Technology and was a CVT. I started tutoring when I was in my vet tech program, working with first year tech students. I mentored students and taught zoology labs while in my MS program. In vet school, I was an anesthesia and pathology tutor and independently worked with other students on clinical/technical skills. I have been adjunct faculty at Midwestern since 2022 for clinical rotations and lectures in client communication.
I focus on making sense of how and why something works, rather than just drilling facts to survive an exam. I love breaking down complicated topics into understandable pieces, taking it step-by-step, and helping students build confidence and critical thinking skills. My tutoring style is supportive, interactive, and tailored to how you learn best.
Veterinary medicine education can become overwhelming fast. A lot of programs move quickly, expect you to magically know foundational concepts, and sometimes explain things in ways that somehow make them more confusing. My goal is to make learning feel approachable, practical, and judgment-free.
