Hi! I'm Maddy and I would love to be your tutor! I am currently working toward my Bachelor's degrees in Environmental Sciences and Modern Languages. I am open to tutoring college students in lower-level STEM courses but most of my formal tutoring experience is with elementary to high school aged students. I was part of my high school's Tutoring Club and was elected president in my senior year so I have been a tutor for 4+ years and have professionally taught children for the last two years. I recognize every student has a different set of needs and learning strategies, so I do my best to meet you where you are at and build from that.
I know school can be challenging, especially when you only have one teacher for every 30 or more students so I hope I can provide the support you need outside of the classroom. Although I have specified what subjects I am comfortable teaching, I would love to explore study skills, time management and test taking strategies if you are struggling more with the process than the material. I love to explore diverse approaches to problems and strongly believe in building the skill of applying knowledge rather than just memorizing facts. I am easy to reach and will respond as soon as I can so please feel free to reach out!
