As a medical student who recently completed a B.S. in Biomedical Sciences with a minor in
Chemistry (summa cum laude), I bring both academic excellence and real-world teaching experience to tutoring. While completing my degree, I worked as a medical scribe and served as a supplemental instructor for algebra-based physics, teaching over 400 students. This experience taught me how to simplify complex topics and present them from different perspectives, reinforcing concepts through practice.

Though I’ve excelled academically in recent years, my journey hasn’t been without challenges. As someone with ADHD, I’ve had to develop creative strategies to succeed, especially in medical school, where consistency is vital. I've learned various study habits and techniques that improve recall and keep the learning process fresh and fun. I reflect this approach in my tutoring style by using gamification, active recall, the forgetting curve, the Feynman technique, and visual mnemonics (among others) to facilitate a fun but challenging atmosphere for learning.

I specialize in medically oriented subjects like physiology, anatomy, and biochemistry, and I’m well-versed in premedical courses such as physics and organic chemistry. If there’s a subject not listed here, please feel free to ask. Additionally, I love working with students of all ages and am happy to tutor younger children in basic sciences, reading comprehension, Spanish, and math up to calculus.

My ultimate goal in tutoring is to create an environment that is both effective and enjoyable. If I can instill a sense of excitement and confidence in you or your child about the learning process, then I consider half of my job done. Once that foundation is built, mastering the content becomes the easy part.
