Hello, I'm Zach! I started my Spanish journey 5 years ago at the start of high school like many my age. I fell in love with the language shortly after my junior year and became obsessed with immersing myself as much as possible and learning the most I could as my goal was to be fluent like a native speaker. I am currently working on my bachelor's degree at Northern Arizona University in Spanish and plan to one day be either a full-time teacher in the language or an interpreter/translator.
I have experience tutoring the language in High School, as well as some on-and-off tutoring at NAU. (I have even helped tutor native speakers in Spanish in some of my classes' advanced topics in a way they would understand). I have a seal of biliteracy in Spanish on my diploma and a very thorough command of the language as well as an understanding of how people my age learn and grasp difficult concepts in Spanish.
Whether you are a freshman struggling to grasp what's being taught in your Spanish 1/2 class, or a more advanced student struggling to understand the subjunctive, I've been there and am here to help you. Unlike many native Spanish speakers and teachers, I struggled to learn the grammar and sentence structure and how it all works, rather than acquiring the language when I was young and not understanding why things work the way they do. I understand how difficult it can be at times, but most importantly I understand how teens or young adults learn grammar and vocabulary, as I went through it myself.
