Feeling overwhelmed by chemistry or math? Let me help you make sense by turning mountains into molehills...or at least moles!

A National Merit Scholar, I graduated cum laud from Brigham Young University in 2006 with a BS in Chemistry. I continued my study with graduate coursework in analytical chemistry. While at BYU, I was a teaching assistant for undergraduate analytical chemistry, graduate analytical chemistry, chemical literature and writing, undergraduate organic chemistry and tap dance. I received three different teaching awards and stipends for my hard work. I even taught an organic chemistry laboratory class designed for pre-med and pre-dental students--twice. As a graduate student, I developed a laboratory for other graduate students, including ordering my own lasers and designing my own equipment setup.
Through the University of Phoenix online, I completed an MA in secondary education with a 4.0. Being a certified teacher means I get to practice helping students learn every day.

I have taught physical science, general chemistry, and honors chemistry at Desert Vista High School in Phoenix for 8+ years. When I find free time, I have worked as a private tutor for chemistry, AP chemistry, college chemistry, organic chemistry, trigonometry, and AP calculus. I love working with individual students as I can find what works for you--I can speak chemistry in YOUR language!

Tired of feeling like chemistry is a mountain you just can't conquer? Think how amazing the view will be from the top--I promise I can help you climb it.

Knowledgeable and Very Helpful Tutor

Usually when I learn specific subjects in Chemistry, I get confused but am too afraid to ask specific questions, and these small confusions prevent me from understanding the entire topic and section. However, Megan is so patient and explains everything in great detail. When I have a question, I can always ask her, and she is always willing to explain things in comparisons that could help me understand the topic better. She is so pleasant and friendly, and I feel very comfortable when she teaches me.

Knowledgeable and connected with my daughter

Megan worked with my daughter to prepare for a 10th grade honors chemistry test. my daughter was very happy with Megan's understanding of the subject matter and her ability to assist. My daughter achieved her goal with Megan and comfortably connected well with her as a tutor/student pair.

Extremely Knowledgable!
