Hi there!
My name is Emily, and I am based in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
I received my Master's in Mass Communication from Texas Tech University while simultaneously teaching Media Writing, Digital and Professional Communication, and Sports Communication. I am currently an instructor for the University of Arkansas, where I teach foundational media writing and theory to undergraduate pre-medical students. For my Master's research, I focused on Artificial Intelligence policy within communication agencies, aiming to identify consistencies and inconsistencies in how businesses use AI for their clients. I was also selected to present my applied research at Texas Tech's media symposium.
As a creative, I structured my academic writing to begin advocating for writers and the presence of AI in the classroom. I believe in a catch-all approach to essay writing, whether it's research, journalism, or creative pieces. Throughout my undergrad, I helped spearhead multiple strategic written pieces for the nonprofits I helped represent with the PR Agency, RaiderComm. I also currently work in the Graduate School & International Education recruitment center, focusing on written campaigns to recruit individuals passionate about pursuing higher education.
I hope to help others expand on their writing capabilities and teach others how to tell their stories successfully.
